virtue schmirtue

Whoever decided that patience is a virtue DEFINITELY went apartment-hunting in New York City. For all of you out there who are planners, who like to have the details mapped out in advance: DO NOT MOVE HERE! Now normally I'm not the least bit antsy. Everything just kind of happens to me. Life goes at its pace while I stroll along at mine. There are very few people who'd accuse me of ever being in a rush (maybe Lauren, but that was different). But...and call me crazy if you want...I sort of want to know where I'm going to LIVE with a little more than a week's notice! Is this too much to ask? Really? Today is May 4. I need an apartment that I can move into on or around June 15. This is what? 5-ish weeks away? Am I being unreasonable? All the real estate people I'm talking to are telling me I need to wait at least 2 weeks before I really start looking. One even laughed at me. Weren't you people ever in the scouts (boy or girl)?? BE PREPARED. That's all I'm goin' for here.

Ok Donald Trump, I know you read my blog: Can I live in one of your buildings? That's all I ask...just a nice 3-4BR, 1-2BA, 1000-2000 sq. ft with lots of closet space (we are girls you know). We'd rather not pay, but if we must, under $3200/month would be nice. Please.
