525,000 celebratory dinners at Red Lobster
Because it was my last day at AE34th St. (store #2071), I was feeling celebratory. So I went to my favorite celebratory restaurant: Red Lobster. Of course, there wasn't an entire roll of toilet paper dumped on me like there was on my 21st birthday at RL in Greenville, but tonight was just as good, if not better. April and I had no plans other than to enjoy some ridiculously over-priced quasi-seafood, but since we arrived and put in our name at 5:50, the wait was 15-20 minutes, and "Rent" was right across the street with a lottery drawing scheduled to take place at 6, we decided to go for it. April and I both put our names into the lottery drawing and she went to the ATM while I waited for the drawing. The moment she got back, the drawing commenced. My name was called. We went to the window to get our tickets...2nd row. Score. Then, the instant we exited the theater, our Red Lobster pager vibrated and sounded. We ate. It was heavenly. And we spent the next 3 hours in musical bliss watching Drew Lachey AND my BFF, Merle Dandridge (whom you will all recall from my church vocal team audition). We couldn't have planned a better night. And now we're topping it off by watching "Mean Girls." Amazing.
