tis the season
So I was in Grand Central station yesterday and couldn't stop laughing at the guys getting their shoes shined. The first guy had really long legs, so with his feet on the little blocks, it really looked like he had them in stirrups, the thought of which amused me greatly...especially with the little shoe-shine guy down between them in a very OB-GYN kind of position. Then it just made me angry. I mean, how come when guys are in that position, they're getting their shoes shined, but when girls are in that position, there's either something unwelcome going in or something HUGE coming out? A double standard if I ever saw one.
Then I spent an obscene amount of money at Barnes and Noble. BUT I got the discount card so I'll be saving from now on.
Then I finished my paper. Allow me to repeat: I FINISHED MY PAPER! This means that all I have left to do in order to complete graduate school is go to class tomorrow and turn the bad boy in!! Of course, I will still have to do end-of-semester reports for all my Hello World students and teach on Thursday and Friday, but whatever...last day...fun time.

What's this kid talking about? Brisk? It was warm today in Alaska. It got up to 17 degrees! Freakin' heatwave!
New York #1 (that's right!)
