trip to NYC in exchange for driving and manual labor
So I'm moving this weekend....kind of.
A truck was supposed to be brought up by 2 friends of mine to help me move from NYC to Raleigh, NC. Unavoidable circumstances have now arisen, making this maneuver impossible. It's not their fault. It can't be helped. I still love them.
Seeing as it is now the close of Tuesday, I'm not trying to find anyone to come up this weekend to get me. It's just too much too quick.
So I'm taking a Chinatown bus to our nation's capital, where Friend will pick me up and house me for the night. Future Roommate is coming to get me there and take me back to Raleigh. Big Sister is coming to get me there and take me to G-vegas. Big Mike will sell me a car. I will drive it back to Raleigh and go to my job interview. After that, I will have to figure out when I can come back to NYC to get my stuff.
If anyone would like to come with me, do let me know. I need to have your availability by next Thursday, the 20th. You get a trip to New York for a few days, a free place to stay here and a fabulous and popular tour guide in exchange for several hours of driving a truck and help loading/unloading it.
Thinking about it now, I mean come on. Why would I go for just another boring moving truck experience when I can ride a Chinatown bus??? The resulting blog will be SO much better!
