here I am
I've been getting harrassed of late for not having updated my blog since its successful recapture from the blogjacker. I've argued that, seriously, there's nothing exciting going on to blog about, and while that's true, I feel I should at least give a shout out every now and again just to prove I'm still here. To prove it to y'all and to myself. Here I am.
I still maintain that there's nothing going on. The FT job is on hold while the committee receives all the applications, reviews them, chooses the ones they're interested in and sends them back to main campus so the people there can set up interviews. It's a long and pointless process, but apparently it must be done. I'll let you know if I get any news. If I don't get it, though, it looks as though I'll still be able to piece together enough PT hours to be able to quit the Eagle at the end of August. THIS makes me Jessi Spano amounts of excited.
I saw "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" last weekend, and as a deep deep lover of the original, I must say, Bravo Johnny Depp. Bravo Tim Burton. It was fantastic. Weird and slightly psychotic, but fantastic. I was only slightly disappointed in the Oompa Loompas and the fact the Veruca Salt didn't sing, "I want it now." Last night, I saw "Wedding Crashers," and while funny and entertaining over all, it was far more disturbing than Willy Wonka.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand... dinner with Heather Patterson.

Why was Wedding Crashers disturbing?? Because you're not dating Vince Vaughn or Owen Wilson? I don't understand.
(ok, i admit i know the answer to that last one... most of the time)
