What happened to August?
In an attempt to apologize to middle tata for splashing her mullet across the internet when I only really wanted to prove to the elder that she did, in fact, sport the classic style of the 80's (sorry to break it to you Mom, they're all mullets), I shall now embarrass myself in a way that can only be described by two very special words: Glamour Shots.

And now that we've gotten that out of the way, we can move on with our lives.
I'm in Greenville. I haven't been here since January (??), and it's very bizarre to go back to a place where you lived for five years after being gone for so long. I feel this way every time I come back. It's not my home, so why do I know my way around so well? It's like I can just mysteriously get places, but I don't know how I'm doing it.
There's nothing exciting to report, really. Dre and I made a cake. A delicious ooey-gooey cake that was still warm when we ate it. She tells me I must take some of it home with me because it's not allowed to stay in her house. I bought unnecessary clothing from Old Navy. What can I say? I had a coupon. Kat and I wandered around Target for an hour to escape the sounds of "Return to Innocence" and the theme song from X-Files that were coming from her roommate's bathroom. I finally met the new IV staff worker at ECU. We are now no longer simply names on address labels to one another. Katie and I went to Panera...twice. Tammy and I laughed (because it will never cease to be funny) at our favorite Spanish song, "Suavemente, Besame." And the Wilmington crowd came to town. We had dinner at Parker's BBQ, which incidentally has the best mac-n-cheese ever. Our waiter was very sweaty.

you are dead sexy
what is even more startling than you in your pretty big-haired, brace-faced glory is that i (shamefully) have a very similar glamour shot myself. when i get brave enough to come out of the early-teen, awkward-stage, what-the-@#$%-was-i-thinking-taking-glamour-shots-anyway stage, i might (no promised here) show it to you to make you feel slightly more validated.
"Kiss me, smoothly. Kiss me. Kiss me. Kiss me." Those are my approximate memory of the translated lyrics to "Suavemente, Besame"--what a rare gem!
my first reaction was, "no, beth! you DIDN'T!!!!" then there was "oh my gawwwwwwd" then it was, thank goodness i never got a glamor shot.... but now i must say i am a little jealous ;o) you actually look like you are enjoying yourself ....

Kat already dimed you out on HER blog. But, hey, who DIDN'T enjoy a good mullet in the 80s?
