who AM I?

I'm told that it's high time I blogged again because it's been 2 weeks and the last post wasn't even that interesting. Well folks, I hate to break it to you, but when your life isn't all that interesting, neither is your blog. However, I do have some ridiculous, unbelievable, interesting possibilities on the horizon. I'll just share one right now and save the other until it's further along.

You may be familiar with randomshirts.com. If you aren't, you should check it out immediately. Hilarious stuff there.

Well, my friend Paige suggested to me that I start an online t-shirt customization business in which people sent me their old shirts, I make them into something new, and send them back. This is an okay idea, but I don't think people would do it. I wouldn't do it. I'd be scared I'd never see my shirt or my money again. But this idea did get me thinking.

So I emailed the guys at random shirts, and I suggested to them that between choosing a design and checking out, they add a customization option. So, for example, you want a "Holla" t-shirt, but you'd rather have it with capped sleeves and draw strings cinching up the sides. You can choose that customization among 4 or 5 options. Then you pay, and when you get your shirt, it's all cool and stuff. I suggested also that I might be available for contract customization work. Here is the email I received in response:

Beth,
Thanks so much for the thoughts and ideas! We HAVE indeed thought about doing things like that, but to logistically pull it off is a nightmare. What we MIGHT do is something like this....We could get you to do a few and we could sell them for a lot more. If they sell, we could give you a percentage of the sale and see what happens.Would that interest you?
Thanks!
