field trip!

In a moment of both genius and 4th grade flashback, Whitney had an idea last week for a field trip to the Aviation Museum in Asheboro, NC. I don't know why she got off work so early today, but I'm glad she did, for she, Matthew and I were then able to take said trip, and it was a ton of fun for all. Some highlights of the trip include:

* stopping on the side of the road at least twice to take pictures of cool-looking things like this plymouth for sale

* lunch at a local greasy spoon where my curly fries were served to me unfried and still frozen

* the aviation museum itself, and the guy telling us about some gun that fires so fast, the sound of one bullet cancels out the sound of the previous bullet, so that when firing, the only thing one hears is, "hmmm"

* the covered bridge we drove 10 miles out of the way to see

* DANM...yeah, that's how they spelled it

* historic downtown Pittsboro with all its attractions (there are no pictures for a reason)
