seasons greetings
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! It's just after midnight, making it officially Christmas, and I think I just heard Santa downstairs stuffing the stockings. The baby Jesus in my mom's nativity scene has spent his requisite time on the roof, we attended the candle-light service at church, I had some lovely mulling spice tea and shamefully lost a game of Mexican Train. In the morning, we will have Moravian sugar cake for breakfast before opening presents. Then I suppose we'll lounge around some, and my dad and I will finish painting/assembling my very purple desk. We'll watch the DVDs we receive as gifts for the rest of the day, and we might go out to the movies in the evening. This will be the only reason for getting dressed, and I'm very much looking forward to the whole day.
So off to bed I go.
P.S. I think I just found a mole on my head, and I think I found it by scratching it off. Ouchy.

I am so glad to know that Moravian sugar cake is a vital part to another family's Christmas festivities! It is definitely the highlight of the desserts in our house. We literally used to fight over it so my mom would buy one whole sugar cake for each of us. Oh yes, it's that good!
