Avon Walk Fundraising Update
First of all, thank you to those of you who have made donations to my Avon Walk fund. So far, I've raised $1208.75, which means that I have $591.25 left to get and exactly 170 days to get it. I did a little number crunching, and if one person gave $3.50 each day from now until October 20, I'd have a little more than my goal. If you'd like to give me a week's worth, it's about $25. A month would be around $100. If you want to make a day's, week's or month's donation, visit my Avon page and have at it!
Also, stay tuned for more exciting events I'm cooking up. Oh yeah...I'm putting the "fun" in FUNdraising! (Cheesy, I know, but I had to do it. It was just too easy.)
Oh, and for those of you who are interested (and familiar with Raleigh), I walked almost 9 miles a couple of weeks ago. I walked from my place (near REX hospital) to HP and SaraB's place (behind Peace College). I stopped at the Harris Teeter on Glenwood at Oberlin where, in a bizarre coincidence, I met Jon B's dad. He was taking donations for the Kiwanis Club while I was chowing down on a Power Bar. We got to talking, and voila! Come to find out I'm friends with his son. It was actually kind of creepy.
