night owl seeks Saturday for sleep-in
Whoooooo, y'all. I am BEAT. Vacation (even quasi-vacation) just ruins me every time. I get into these horrible sleep patterns, staying up late and sleeping in. I mean, it wouldn't be so horrible except for apparently the world doesn't operate on my rhythm (go figure). I've said it before, and I'll say it forever. If I could have a job that didn't require me getting there until noon, I'd be set. I'd even work until 9 and take a dinner break instead of a lunch. This getting-up-at-7:30 thing just REALLY isn't cutting it for me. And having to go back again tonight at 6:30...killer.
The first day of each semester (yesterday) is generally just a registration day. It's when we (usually wrongfully) anticipate the most students coming, so the teachers all help with registration, and then classes start the next day. Well yesterday, we had about six people show up. Today, when the teachers were all in class and I was on my own to get everything done: 22.
So I say to you again. BEAT. And going back to work in an hour. My bed is going to feel SO good tonight.
