Wha Happened?!

A Whole WEEK(!!) has passed since I last blogged. I was shocked tonight when I read Dre's comment on my last entry. I haven't blogged since last month?!?!?! Where have I been?? Wow.

Well, several things have happened. I shall list them for you now.

1) I saw the most AWESOME Mexi-Mullet EVER on the F train the other day. I believe some of you received a phone message about it. Let me describe briefly. He was wearing a spandex shirt that was tucked in to his carpenter jeans, and he had on really nice leather boots. He had a pot belly, by the way, that was quite bouncy as he RAN to get on the train. Now back to the hair--the sides were gelled. Only the sides. The back was feathered, and in the front were wispy bangs. Wispy I tell you. Wispy. Is that how you spell wispy? Anyhow, it was glorious. I've never wanted a camera phone so badly in my LIFE. Oh Liesl, Dre, Rach, it was the Mexi-Mullet to top all.

2) Lauren and I put in an application on an apartment yesterday. Yes, just me and Lauren. The others are out. The good thing about this one, though, is that we don't need Donald Trump to get it. We can afford it. It's WAY the crap uptown, but right by the express train (the A/C 1/9 @ 168) so all is well. I'll let you know tomorrow whether or not we got it. We're considering the possibilities of other roommates. We have a few options. Still considering.

3) I had my last class on Friday. That is the reason for my slackness in the bloggin'. I couldn't stay awake last week. I think I had mono or narcolepsy or something. I went to work in the a.m., fell asleep in the afternoons, and went to class at night. That was pretty much it. I'm back now. I just have a little to do this week, and other than those required things, I'm going to do as little as humanly possible.

4) I don't think I'm gonna come back from Italy. I think I'll just stay over there. Andy has already informed me that should I do that, he will immediately cross the Atlantic to join me where we shall spend the rest of our days in paradise eating fig newtons...or wearing them or something. That part was a bit ambiguous.

5) Brad Parker told me tonight that there is a NC BBQ restaurant in NYC called Brother Jimmy's. I just looked it up, and sho nuff, it's on 80th and Amsterdam. I'm SO going this week. On Wednesdays, they give you a 25% discount with a valid Southern ID!!!!!!!!! This makes my week. Oh I hope they have Cheerwine. I mean, they have their hickory wood (for the smoking of the BBQ) shipped to them from NC. To be SURE they have Cheerwine. Oh yeah, it's on. Mmmmm sweet tea, I dream of you tonight. This is very welcome news after my 1st experience with Popeyes tonight. I had never been there before but had heard it being compared with Bojangles, so against my better judgment, I went...regretfully. I'll not be going back.

Ok, I'm going downstairs for a Sprite. Good night all. Call me soon Dre. We need to talk.
