¡Que rapida!

Man, this week just FLEW by!! I apologize for not updating the whole time. I just don't know where it went! It really wasn't terribly eventful, but for those of you who are on the edge of your seat, here goes it:

Monday passed without anything interesting whatsoever happening. I didn't even have anything to write about in "Ciao Bella!"

Tuesday was where the action was. I talked to Steve Rose on IM. Apparently everybody at AE SoHo (flagship...store 81) wants to or has already left. It's because I'm not there. I know it is. He tried to poke fun at me saying that nobody's missing my measley 12 hours a week. I resent that. I normally work at least 13. I discovered the good half of the mall...including the movie theater. I went with a friend from class, Sofie, and her friend Sara to see "Incautos" (reckless, heedless, not cautious). It's a Spanish film about these thieves who are all scammin' each other. Right up until the very end, you don't know who's working together and who's getting played and who's going to get away with the money. We decided that the moral of the story was "never trust a woman...'cause she's smarter than you." It was quite good. We chose it over "Shrek 2" through classic 3-way "evens/odds." Good decision. Much better than LaserTag. I may have to look into purchasing it in the future.

On Wednesday, a light suddenly came on in my brain, and I magically understood the pretérito perfecto perfectly. I'd been having trouble with it for at least a week, and it was really frustrating. I think I finally get it. I haven't been making mistakes on it in class at least. Now I just need to work on getting all of the structure from my brain to come out of my mouth. I can do it on paper, but you have to think faster when you speak. Working on it. Thursday and today we've been working on the subjunctivo. Craziness. I know how to form the words, but no idea in the world what I'm saying when I do. I just think we don't have that structure in English so there's no good direct translation. Any help in this area would be greatly appreciated. If you have expertise, do let me know.

So Thursday wasn't much to write home about either. I became increasingly jealous of Journey Megan (as opposed to Megan Smith) for seeing Leonardo DiCaprio on a bike (I was 16 once too), and I tried to call a few people who didn't answer their phones. They were in the Poconos (read with snooty tone). My 3 favorite t-shirts from that day, however were as follows:

-"sicko"
-"aboriginal girl"
-(front) LITTLE
(back) ITALY...I saw the front first, though, and was really confused.
-this is the best one...
"GRAVITY
it's not just a good idea
IT'S THE LAW"

I also saw a commercial for "Miami Vice" on DVD. You too can purchase it for just €21.95!! That's 6 of the most popular episodes...over 4 HOURS of classic 80's entertainment at your disposal. Wow!

And Andy was telling me about his friends who are going to 2 Clay Aiken concerts in a row in 2 different cities, and they're calling it their "Va-CLAY-tion." Classic. Love it. Wish I could steal it. Precious lil lamb, that Clay.
