Onward Hoe!

When I left AE 34th Street today, I had a voicemail. It was from one of the leaders of the Journey worship arts vocal team, Erin. She said she was calling to "chit chat" with me about the vocal team, and I thought, "that's what they say to the people they're getting ready to let down easy." So I took the subway home and called her back. To my great shock and surprise, she started off, "We'd like to invite you....," at which point, I was thinking, "what?!" and she continued, "to join the vocal team." I replied, "really?????" I think this threw her off a little. She wasn't sure whether or not I was accepting. I firmly assured her that I was. Wow. Either God is sovereign or those people are certifiable.

So I thought you'd all be please to know that for the remainder of this semester, you can find me singin' my lil heart on the stage instead of in the congregation. I will probably do this periodically while wearing a homemade Clay Aiken t-shirt.
