Just in Cases

I woke up bright and early this morning (9:15) because I had a call-in shift at AE. This means that you have to call them an hour before your "scheduled" shift to see if they actually need you. This means that I have to get up, take a shower and get dressed not knowing whether or not I'll actually have to go to work. So when I called and they said that they didn't need me, I was already up and ready to go. I was literally all dressed up with no place to go. So I went to Kinkos to make some copies of stuff for my class tonight. Then I decided to check out this free WiFi thing at Panera. Let me just say here and now that Panera is now my favorite place. I have been sitting here for an hour and a half now using the internet for free. It's right up the road from my shed, too. I'll eat something eventually, but they've had at least 10 lunch rushes so far, so I'm still waiting for the line to go down enough for me to leave my table. Ann, I know at this point, you are salivating and extremely jealous, but just remember: You could be here too if you moved to NC (hint hint).

So back to the shed...I moved in on Saturday, and it's way cute. It'd be even nicer if I could get it warm enough. I had it up to 68 last night, and that was the record high. After I turned the lights out, though, and blew out the candles, it got back down to 62, which is what I woke up to. Winter can't last that much longer (knock on wood).

Umm, so yeah, that's the most exciting thing that has happened in my life for the past 2 weeks. Within the next week, however, there's a certain event to take place in which a certain unnamed someone will officially be a quarter of a century old. A wish list is provided below for anyone who was looking for that perfect something to give to that special someone on that certain day..."just in cases" (and if you know (1)what that's from and (2)why I appreciate it, you're exempt from buying me a birthday present).

- Target gift cards
- Starbucks gift cards
- Third Day's "Wire" CD
- My tax forms from Hello World
- Mark's (from Triangle Rent-a-Car) head on a platter
- Naked pictures of B. Arthur (5 points if you know what that's from, 5 more for each additional item from the list you can name)
- A trip to NYC
- A trip to the movies
- A trip to the theater
- A trip to Olive Garden
- A space heater
- A Cadbury Creme Egg
- A card acknowledging the anniversary of my birth (email me for the address to my shed...photos forthcoming)

Oooo! No line. Lunch time!
