history in the making
I read in a book I picked up at Barnes and Noble yesterday that southern women don't sweat; they glow. I've heard this all my life. It's right up there in southernspeak along with "Adam's housecat," to which we always compare folks we've never met. Now, I was not aware that Adam had a house or a cat, and as a southern girl, I have to say that I don't believe I've ever been one to glow neither. My poor white shirts never last more than two seasons because of the problem that has plagued me for years: sweat rings. Gross.
But about a month ago, I was introduced to Certain Dri, and although it took me until last week to purchase it, my life has now been forever changed. I think the voicemail I left for Dre yesterday went something like this:
"Today is a historic day. In fact, I might go so far as to call it an historic day because today, for the first time in my life since I started producing sweat, I have. No. Sweat. Rings! And it is all thanks to Certain Dri, or rather, to the generic Eckerd brand, which is simply called 'Dry.'"
I think I'll go for a jog now. Just to work up a...oh never mind.

Please use "Adam's housecat" in a sentence. This Yank is intrigued.
Megan, I don't know you from Adam's house cat!
Your great grandmother always said, "Horses sweat, men perspire and women glow."
"ever been one to glow neither". . .is the a typo or a grammatical faux pas?
Pardon me, Clay. Obviously you didn't get the southernspeak I was going for there.
You mean "If I was invisible..." isn't southernspeak?
i prefer glistening to sweating. it sounds so much more couture.
certain dri really works, eh?
i suppose i need to blog more since my last post was practically a month ago. i am a rebellious blogger, beth. maybe reading your blog will help kindle that flame.
