And now about Grey's Anatomy
I couldn't post this post and that other post together in the same post, but both are important and timely, so today we'll just have 2 posts. Save one for a no-post day if you like (I do tend to take weekends off, and we are coming up on a Saturday here in about 8 hours).
Did everyone watch G.A. last night?? Seriously, it's getting just as weird as Lost, and that's saying a LOT. If you haven't watched it but are planning to, don't read this until after you've seen it. If you watched it already or have no intentions to do so, read on.
Ok, they can't really be planning to kill off Meredith. It's her anatomy. It's her show. Whose anatomy will it be about if she's not on it? If they kill her off, they're going to lose viewers. It will be the stupidest, most nonsensical writing decision ever on a TV show. Ever.
I see a few possibilities here for the direction the show might take:
1. They kill of Meredith, which only makes sense if Ellen Pompeo has just up and quit. And that would be stupider than them randomly killing her off. That show has made her. She owes it.
1a. If they kill her off, they can't honestly be considering continuing her story line in the afterlife with Denny and the bomb squad guy. Nobody wants to watch that, and if they do, they're probably already getting their fix of that sort of thing from Days of Our Lives (hell in the closet, anyone?).
1b. If they kill her off, what happens to Derek? Does he hook up with somebody else? Does he get back together with Addison? They're all friendly now. Does Izzy become his source of comfort because she knows what it's like, having lost Denny? Does empathetic friend then turn into inappropriate lover? Do they bring a new girl in?
2. They bring her back to life, which they've pretty much ruled out. I mean, it would be an absolute miracle, but if she came back to life, maybe she'd be all kinds of regenerated and appreciate her life, be grateful for her amazing and extraordinarily hot boyfriend who fished her out of the water, and stop trying to drown herself in the bathtub.
2a. Maybe Dr. Burke donates one of his vital organs to save her life, thus giving up his own and removing him from the show because of all the derogatory homosexual comments he is supposed to have made. What then? Will Christina resent Meredith for "killing" her fiance? Or will they grow closer because a part of him is now literally a part of her?
3. They pull a Dallas on us. The whole thing turns out to have been a dream. Izzy wakes up, wonders why Meredith was narrating her life in her sleep, it's the middle of last season, Denny's alive, and they can follow the story line down that path for a while. I choose Izzy for this role because she's the one whose life would change the whole rest of the story the most if her story had been different, and because that little monologue she did last night was so quasi-characteristic and out of place. It was the kind of thing one would say in a dream because one would never say such things at such a time in real life...especially the thing she said to George about how marrying Callie was such a mistake and she's his "best friend" and all. Just 'cause she drilled holes in that guy's head...
Your thoughts?

I read somewhere that someone dies next week too, and only one person is going to stay dead, so here are my theories.
Theory 1: Meredith, being the whore that she is, will hook up with dead Denny in the afterlife. She will then be brought back to life, Izzy will find out about the post-mortem hook up, and kill herself out of sadness.
Theory 2: Meredith will be a good girl and not hook up with Denny in the afterlife, even though he is pretty dang hot as a healthy guy, dead or not. She will however come back to life, bringing a message back to Izzy from the great beyond about how hot Denny is, and how he's waiting for her. So Izzy will kill herself to be with Denny.
Theory 3. Meredith's mom will die during her heart surgery, meet Meredith in the afterlife and tell her what a disappointment she is, even in death. So Meredith will drown herself in a tub which will actually bring her back to life.
Theory 4. Meredith stays dead, the show sucks and everybody stops watching.

Sadly, there are many episodes of Magnum I haven't seen. Is it out on DVD for mass consumption?? Y'all do know my birthday's coming up, right?
Partner, good theories, all. A little animosity toward Izzy maybe? You're really ready for her to die, it would seem.
And Denny's totally hot.
And there are plenty of people who can die; they do it every week. But if Meredith goes, really, who's going to keep watching??

Ok, so I just finished watching online.
Um...does anyone like Meredith? She's probably my least favorite character, and from what I hear, most people agree with me. They even did a piece on how annoying she was in the Metro. She's not going to die, y'alls. Seriously. But I would still watch the show if she did. I love George. And Christina. And Burke. (Not in real life, since he's a big homophobe, but the character is amazing.)
I don't have any theories, but Meredith won't die.
And am I the only one who thinks Denny is extremely average looking? I don't get all the hot talk. I just don't. No one can hold a candle to McDreamy...ok, no one can hold a candle to his hair, but whatever.

Megs, You don't think Denny's hot? But you think John Mayer's hot? Hmmmm...
I do like Meredith. And I don't want her to die. I just think the show is really stupid for trying to kill her off every season. It's getting old. Can't she just be happy and alive for once?
Whatever, Beth. WHATEVER.
Ha.
To you, I say, "Bwlybixq." (That's my word verification. I like it.)

I'm sorry in advance.
I wouldn't mind if Meredith died.
That's not to say the show would be even more weird without her, but really, she's my least favorite. Her depression is tired. That said, her tendencies to have random realizations and be "squinty" kind of perpetuate the show. But I think these writer "geniuses" could go on without her. I started watching the show because she was so amazing in Moonlight Mile. (SEE IT.) Now I watch it because I absolutely adore George. Hence, my distaste for Meredith--he may have forgiven but maybe I haven't..?
And the Izzie diatribe--its ridiculousness is my reason for putting quotes around writing "geniuses."
And,
she's not going to die.

The most interesting one to watch this episode is Derek. I don't know if you remember that in first season, he said to Meredith: "You were like coming up for fresh air. I was drowning and you saved me."
