Million Dollar Idea
Now don't y'all go and steal this, but today, I came up with my million dollar idea, and it shall be known the world over as...
Culture Shock.
"Culture shock?" some of you may say, "You didn't come up with that." Oh, but I'm not talking about the feeling. I'm talking about a phenomenon. And I'm talking about people lining up to experience it. Oh yeah. That's right. Culture Shock isn't just a reality any more. Now it's a reality show.
Picture this: Ten contestants are dropped off in the middle of a foreign land. They have no background in the language, they know nothing of the customs or culture, but accommodations have been made for them to stay with a host (or host family). They must learn to adapt and assimilate to this new culture, gaining insight and understanding as they go. Each week, they will be given a language/culture test of some sort, and the contestant scoring the lowest will be eliminated.
I haven't decided what I want the grand prize to be yet. I almost feel like the education is satisfying enough, but this is the kind of show I'd volunteer to be on because I'm a dork like that. Maybe the winner becomes king or queen or grand poobah or something. Any ideas?
