Onward Hoe!

Whew. Well we got back safely to Raleigh about an hour ago, and it feels VERY weird to think that we were just in New York this morning. I'd love to post pictures for you to see our super fun Big Apple Easter, but we were having so much super-fun that we forgot to take any! I guess we'll just have to go back. To try the lottery for Wicked. Again. Because we tried twice (making about six tries for me total) and didn't win either time. Booooooo!! We did, however, get to see The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, which was so cute and funny, particularly the weird kid in the cape who fell off the bleachers. The really unique thing about the bee is that before this show, they pick four people from the audience to actually be in the spelling bee until they misspell a word, which is kind of fixed because when they want to keep them in, they give them a really easy word, and when they want to get them out, they give them a hard one. Of course, I signed up to be in it, but I didn't get picked. Sigh. Oh well. It was still worth 25 bucks. And besides, when I make my Broadway debut, I want them to pay me, and not the other way around.

We also visited the MoMA and ate at several of my favorite restaurants. And we got to see some friends and stay in my old 'hood with Megan, who, though slightly incapacitated, was a fantastic hostess! Thanks Mrs. Mayer/Timberlake/Roddick! We put our rent in the envelope.

So...my brain is pretty much mush right now, and I have to not only work tomorrow, but teach and work out with my trainer as well, so I'm off to bed.
