Woman Scouts
Right, so every now and then I have TOTALLY bizarre ideas that I'm pretty sure would never occur to a lot of people. Just now, for example, I was watching Even Stevens (I know right...it was either that or Dr. Phil), and there was this group of little girls in a Girl Scoutish sort of troop, and I thought, why don't they have that sort of thing for adults? I mean, it's all about self-improvement, teamwork, social and environmental responsibility and community service. Plus there are cookies involved. Not to mention the sassy outfits. It seems to me to be exactly the type of thing grown women would be into. Anybody wanna start up a Woman Scout troop with me? Of course we'll need more grown-up badges to earn. I'm thinking things along the lines of: basic vehicular maintenance, electronics installation, home chic home, thrift store shopping, poker, wine selection, handywomaning and budgeting. Who's in?
**UPDATE**
We were just discussing this at dinner and came up with a capital idea. Instead of patches to put on a sash or vest when we complete "badges," we award beads to put on a necklace OR various pieces of jewelry (so that when you wear all your Woman Scout badges, you're all kinds of blinged out and therefore ready for a night on the town). NOW who's in?

Hey! Hey! I can change my oil! *chanelling Horshack* Ooh! Ooh ooh! *raising hand* How about a "Learning How to Not Be a Pack Rat" Badge? I'm thinking I wouldn't do so good with that one. lol
The same idea just occurred to me the other day - so I googled "woman scouts" and this is what I found. Did you ladies ever make this happen?
