I Heart Google

I swear, if Google had life-planning services, I'd just let them take over. They've made everything so simple! First it was the quick and easy internet search engine. Then the gmail, which is just fabulous, might I add. The spam always gets sent to the spam folder, and my real emails always get sent to my inbox. I can delete OR archive, organize and categorize. Replies are kept together in "conversations," and I can chit-chat it up with all the other gmailers all there in the same window. It's almost magical. Then came the calendar, which not only keeps your events and engagements color-codedly organized, but also allows you to send out invitations to all your friends, inviting them to your events and engagements. And thanks to Google Documents, no hard drive crash will ever erase my writing again! And it's accessible from any internet-enabled computer. No disks, removable hard drives, USB thingamabobs or any other hardware required. THEN they took over Blogger, which is much easier to use now that you don't have to know (or even take blind stabs at) any html code. And now they have personalized Google home pages that keep my prioritized to-do list, my calendar, my inbox, and my hangman game all at my fingertips.

Most recently, however, they've developed a little diddy called Google Reader, which allows you to "subscribe" to pretty much any website you want (though all of mine are blogs), and whenever one of your websites is updated, it tells you, so you don't have to click click click through all of your friends' blogs every day just to check and see if they've posted something new. You can just sit back and let Google do the checking for you! This frees up lots of time for me to waste on other things...like telling you all about it.

In unrelated news, the Mr. T(ea) Party was a huge success! Thank you to all who came, and a special thanks to those who've been suggesting theme ideas. Keep 'em coming, and I'll make a decision soon on the winner, who, as you may recall, has an acrostic poem headed their way!
