taming the tongue
So...sometimes I say things. And they're not meant by any means to be dirty in anyway, but other people with gutter brains turn them into complete filth. Case in point: soft tacos. Last night, I had another word-twisting incident. Well, to be fair, the actual words that came out of my mouth this time were much worse than ordering two Ugly Naked Guys. I can't help the fact that Moe's named their tacos Ugly Naked Guys. What came out last night was completely, originally me. I just said it too fast to really think about how it was going to sound.
Somehow, The Shed came up in conversation, only Scott called it "the shack," which it is not. And in defense of The Shed, I retorted, "No, no, no. It wasn't a shack. Calling it a shack implies that it is a ramshackle structure and falling over. It was perfectly erect. Just tiny."

I was there, but it is much funnier to read in retrospect. Probably in the top 5 phrases no guy ever wants to hear.
k, that's funny. and I totally agree with your distinction between shack and shed. However, I don't think of "shed" as a dwelling for humans, but rather for tools and lawn mowers. But on the other hand, I imagine that the kind of people who live in shacks are inbred with webbed feet, make their own moonshine, and eat pickled pigs feet. And since none of that applies to you, I'd go with shed all the same.
OK. Next point. What am I doing next year, Beth Fern? Apee said you said that I'm staying in Moscow another year. Um....that's not true. Was that a miscommunication or do I need to clarify with you?
